Performance Information Guide
We understand that some people get nervous before new experiences and we want to ensure you are prepared for what might happen throughout the performance. If you have any questions, feel free to get in contact with the team using our Contact page on this website.
Pre-show access drop-in
1 hour before the start of some of our shows, the team behind the show will be at our access information point outside the auditorium. Check in with the venue that you’re booking at to see if we are offering pre-show access at this show or contact us using the form on our website linked above.
These drop-in information sessions last for 45 mins and are designed for people who might need some guidance and support to help them enjoy the show as much as possible!
We can help you with:
Reserving the most accessible seating for you if seats are unreserved in advance or showing you the seat that you’ve booked in advance.
Taking you into the theatre to show you the set, and an example of the lighting and sound so you know what to expect when the show begins
Showing you where the BSL interpreter will be on stage if there is one
Giving you priority entry to the space when the auditorium opens so that you can feel comfortable and settled before the rest of the audience enter
Talk to you about what happens in the show, in case you’re worried about anything surprising or scaring you.
Show you how you can show our actors on stage that you don’t want to speak with them during the show.

What can I expect when I get to the theatre?
When you arrive someone who works at the theatre will be there to greet you. You will be able to explore the venue before the show and, if you want to, you can talk to a member of the company that made the show. They can tell you as much or as little about the show as you want to know.
When it is nearly time for the show to begin you will show your tickets to a member of staff and they will show you where you can sit.
When you enter the theatre it will be a little bit darker than outside and there will be low sounds of a river, trees and jungle like animals. There will be wooden dinosaurs and three circles on the stage which will be glowing…There will be musical instruments and plants on the floor.
Just before the show starts, the performers will come into the auditorium and they might come over and speak to you. If you’ve brought your own dinosaur with you, then they might ask what kind of dinosaur it is! You can ask them any questions you want to and tell them your name. If you don’t want to speak to them, you don’t have to.
When the show starts the performers will start playing their musical instruments and singing. During the show the performers might interact with you and ask you to shout out answers to questions, you are welcome to join in but you can just sit and watch if you want to.
Throughout the performance you are welcome to laugh, smile, move around, clap and make noise if you want to, but you don’t have to. The performers will remind you in the show that you are welcome to move around and make noise!
Other audiences might clap, cheer, dance and shout out and you are welcome to join in if you want to, but it’s okay if you want to sit and watch.

FAQS
How long is the show?
The show is 1 hour long. There is no interval.
Can I bring my own dinosaur?
Yes please do! We love hearing about your favourite dinosaurs and seeing what you’ve brought!
Can I meet with the cast?
After each show some of our cast members will come and meet the audience in the foyer. You can ask them any questions you’d like and have your photo taken with them.
Can I eat or drink in the theatre?
It depends where you are seeing our show but most of our theatres sell drinks and snacks for you to bring into the performance with you.
I can’t sit still and be quiet for a whole hour! Is that okay?
Our performers and dinosaurs also find it very hard to sit still or be quiet for a whole hour so it’s totally okay if you don’t feel like you can sit still or be quiet! You’re very welcome to shout out the answers to our performers questions and talk to the person next to you during the show.
I feel scared of the dinosaurs…help!
That’s okay! We all get scared sometimes! Our team can help you before the show to tell you when a dinosaur will be coming onto the stage. We can also give you a special plant to take into the theatre with you that tells the dinosaur that you’re a bit scared and means they won’t come near you.
